OneShoe

The OneShoe is a boot worn by people suffering from "diabetic foot", this is a complication that arises from type 2 diabetes.
The diabetic foot condition is characterized by the loss of feeling in the feet caused by degradation of the nerves, this leads to injuries of the feet that go unnoticed and take a long time to heal, this may eventually lead to the loss of the foot.

At the moment this is controlled by the use of diabetic socks or shoes or even plaster casts, in the latter case this needs to be changed on a regular basis resulting in hospital visits every few weeks, this causes inconvenience for the patients and added expense for the doctors and nurses involved with each hospital visits.
The OneShoe aims to solve these problems by providing a solution that works for the patient and the medical professionals.

The OneShoe is currently under development but will undergo medical trials later in the year.
